INVERTED CLOUD 9

WE went to the doctor last Tuesday  on his Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV13) and his neonatologist doctor found out that he still small and skinny. 

After the conference he adamantly encourage us to see a neuropediatrician, Dr. Raypon from CUMC. So we did comply what he wanted.

On the clinic of Dr Raypon, my sister Berna is with us-my hubby, me and the baby. He was assessed by the doctor and he was confirmed that he has microcephaly. Microcephaly is a neuro abnormality. The head size is not the same the normal growing child.

Upon hearing it. I was shattered. I stated immediately, "You mean doctor, small head, small brain and small learning?" It was confirmed by the doctor. I started to cry. 

The doctor continued his assessment to the child. Our baby was still 9 months old. This was the result of the assessment: 
Fine motor skills-10-11 months old
Social skills-9 months
Language-9 months
Gross Motor- 4 months

We can say that he was delayed in his motor because he has short gut and that made him malnourished. It is partly true. Hopefully when his short gut will be closed, he can gain more weight and eventually  can catch up with his age group milestone.

Further the doctor also diagnose that his right hemiparesis is weak. The doctor said it  would be very early to say that your son has a cerebral palsy because only 2 years old a child is is confirm . Hopefully he can under go therapy when he is fleshy enough.

HURRAY I AM 9 MONTHS

HI everyone!

I am now 9 months old!
As the time goes by, my parents greatly overwhelm with my situation.
The celebration is simple. We all  go to church to give thanks and had a pancit on the table.

I am gaining weight day by day.
I am tracking positively with my milestone, although some of it I miss like to do the prone position.
I change my vitamin c, Nutritilin to Poly- Vi- Flor, to enhance my teeth growth and formation.

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE:
It is my first time to ride a public utility jeepney (PUJ). I had wonderful experience in it. People look at me as I glance to them. I am sure, they are astonish in my size, for I can stand up even though I can not still balance myself. I got an upright head already.

Ha! Ha! One passenger can not help her self but to ask my mother.
"How old is your son?"
"9 months", mother replied.

Surely they will not believe and they have think that I came out in this world PREMATURE. Whatever they said, I am happy looking forward with my reconstruction. God will never abandon us. Surely, I got 3 months of waiting, then I will be 1 year old. From then I am counting 6 months for my fistula repair. May God bless the hands of the people who will be involve in my surgery.

Looking forward too, the arrival of my Aunt Berna. She will be home in 28th of October. May God bless her trip.
